With a focus on breaking records, Zenvo – a Danish manufacturer – is launching the Aurora hypercar , a model that leaves electric engines behind to bet on a V12 engine with a lot of power. This toy will only have 100 units manufactured, with a price of 3.6 million euros.
Around here, Aurora comes equipped with a 6.6 V12 quad-turbo engine that with three more electric motors can guarantee no less than 1,850 hp of power and 173 kgfm of torque in its most radical version. In this configuration, zero to 100 km/h is done in 2.3 seconds, while the hypercar reaches 300 km/h in just 9 seconds. The top speed is 450 km/h.
To meet the requirements of Euro7 – a set of laws that regulate emissions in Europe – the Aurora Tur has a battery that provides 33 km of autonomy to run in 100% electric mode, in addition to avoiding the noise of the V12 engine. According to Jens Sverdrup, president and commercial director, “it is becoming more and more unacceptable to turn on a V12 at five in the morning”.
The manufacturer will also sell the Touring option, with “only” 1,450 hp of power and two electric motors. In this recipe, the hypercar comes with a package that weighs 1,300 km and has several aerodynamic spoilers to generate 880 kg of downforce when at speeds above 250 km/h.
