Mercedes-Benz A-Class 250

Mercedes-Benz launches the new generation A-Class in EUA. Offered only in the A 250 Vision version for $ 144,900, the hatch features a connectivity and entertainment system using artificial intelligence resources called MBUX.

This device allows occupants to activate vehicle functions via voice commands. Just say “Hello Mercedes!” and your virtual assistant will be on standby. The system performs simple tasks such as adjusting the air conditioning temperature and room lighting, selecting songs and radio stations, searching your contact list, and making phone calls. However, you typically have to rephrase the sentence many times before MBUX understands what you mean. The instrument panel is virtual with a 10-inch screen. Another central monitor contains information and controls for cooling, multimedia, GPS navigation, and Mercedes settings. The screen is touch-sensitive and can also be operated using the console’s large joystick. However, this operation is not very intuitive. It will take time and patience to get used to and enjoy all that the new A-Class has to offer. The result is satisfying, but not surprising. Seats are made of black or beige leather, and stripes that mimic carbon fiber wrap the panels and doors. 18-inch wheels give the German-imported hatch a sporty touch.

The front seats are electrically adjustable and equipped with memory. The rear seats are spacious enough for three adults, with plenty of side space, and the wheelbase has been extended by 3cm to provide plenty of legroom. However, due to the wide central groove in the floor, one of the five passengers (girlfriend and boyfriend) will have to spread their legs. The trunk has increased by 29 liters and can now accommodate 370 liters. Android Auto and Apple Car Play systems run in the multimedia center. There are four USB ports, all of which are Type C (Mini), so you may need to use an adapter. 250 on the move
The new 2.0 turbo engine develops 224 horsepower (13 horsepower more than the previous model) and accelerates the A-Class from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds, according to factory information. The transmission is automatic with 7 gears and 2 clutches. This set is well integrated and guarantees driving pleasure in various situations. He has four driving modes: Economy, Comfort, Sport, and Individual. His first two are soft-spoken and convincing, the hatch reacts calmly, and there is complete silence on board. Ideal for the motorway, Sport widens the rev range for gear changes, making the A-Class more agile and delivering a richer engine sound.

A 250 Vision comes with features such as emergency braking, reversing camera, panoramic sunroof, front airbags and side airbags.
