Since it started in 1948 with the XK120, then the fastest production car in the world, the English Jaguar has distinguished itself by its remarkable sports cars. That’s why the F-Type 75 is the crowning glory of this whole story as it is the last one with an internal combustion engine — from 2025 the brand will produce exclusively battery electric vehicles.
The F-Type 75, with a suggested public price of R$ 612,977, is powered by a 1,997 cm³ in-line four-cylinder Ingenium gasoline engine with an aluminum block and cylinder head, dual camshafts, chain, phase variator on intake and exhaust. , 4 valves per cylinder and equipped with a twin-scroll turbocharger with intercooler. Its maximum power is 300 hp at 5,500 rpm with a maximum torque of 40.8 m·kgf from 1,500 to 4,500 rpm, which guarantees acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds and reaching 250 km/h. Weighing 1,540 kg — the unibody body is made of aluminum — the power-to-weight ratio is just 5.1 kg/hp.
The Ingenium engine, with remarkable elasticity and responses, is produced at the JLR Engine Manufacturing Center in Wolverhampton, England, and the transmission is the eight-speed German epicyclic ZF 8HP automatic with sequential changes by the selector lever or by the butterflies behind the steering wheel.
The dynamic behavior of a rear-wheel drive sports car with an electronically controlled limited-slip differential results from the four-wheel independent suspension by superimposed wishbones with helical spring, adaptive pressurized shock absorber and anti-roll bar. Brakes are ventilated discs, 355 mm in diameter at the front and 325 mm in diameter at the rear. and the wheels are 20-inch five-spoke wheels in glossy black, created specifically for this version, and fitted with Pirelli P Zero tires 255/30R20 at the front and 295/30R20 at the rear.
The dimensions of the two-seater sports car are 4470 mm in length, 1923/2042 mm in width (without/with mirrors), 1307 mm in height and 2622 mm in wheelbase.
Super slim LED headlamps with matrix technology as standard, signature “Calligraphy J” daytime running lights and sweeping turn signals accentuate the car’s visual width and hint at its performance potential. These items blend seamlessly with the “liquid metal” cladding of the clamshell hood, which rises elegantly to the rear, inspired by competition models such as the C-Type and D-Type.
The vehicle also received unique front fender badges, which portray the unmistakable silhouette of the F-Type. The design of the rear highlights the F-Type’s inherently bold and purposeful shape by flowing down to the slim LED taillights with the signature “Chicane”.
The F-Type’s driver-focused interior reflects its elegance and performance. The combination of Jaguar craftsmanship, exquisite detailing and premium materials and finishes deliver an elevated sense of luxury and sportiness. The dashboard features a 12.3-inch interactive display and offers a wide choice of display themes typical of a true sports car.
Standard mode is characterized by the large central rev counter. This layout and the in-use gear indication subtly convey the character and performance potential of the F-Type, digitally enhancing the mechanical theater of the pulsating red “heartbeat” of the starter button and central air vents.
The lightweight, slim seats combine an anatomically optimized shape with exceptional comfort, enhanced by heating and cooling options. Rich materials such as Windsor leather — standard on special editions — add an even more luxurious feel, complemented by finely crafted details and trim on the doors and headrests.
This Jaguar combines three inseparable elements: performance, luxury and open-air driving pleasure.
