The 2024 Corolla Cross maintained exactly what the previous one offered in our market, seeking to solidify its presence among SUVs.

Here, Toyota’s advantage is to offer hybrid versions, with greater efficiency.

Corolla Cross 2024 – motor

The 2024 Corolla Cross’ engine lineup continues to be the same as what we see in its sedan brother. At least for now, as the Corolla will soon change its hybrid set, along with some visual updates.

Talking about the SUV, the cheapest versions use the 2.0 transverse aspirated engine, with 4 cylinders, 16 valves, direct and indirect injection and double overhead valve control.

There are 169 horsepower with gasoline and 177 hp with ethanol, reached at 6,600 rpm, while the maximum torque, with any fuel, is 21.4 kgfm at 4,400 rpm. The CVT transmission has 10 gears and is front-wheel drive.

The hybrid models combine the 1.8 transverse engine, with natural aspiration, multipoint injection, 4 cylinders in line and 16 valves, with the electric propellant of 72 hp and 16.6 kgfm.

Taking into account that the first delivers 98/101 hp (5,200 rpm) and 14.5 kgfm (3,600 rpm), the combined power is 122 hp (combined torque is not reported by Toyota). The transmission is also CVT and front-wheel drive.
