The New 2021 Volkswagen Golf-GTI

This is the new generation of the Golf GTi, the sports version of the hatch has existed since 1976, and arrives in 2021 in its eighth generation bringing everything completely new, from the bodywork, interior, equipment and engine, now the Golf GTi will leave the factory with 245 horsepower.

Visual of the new Golf GTi became less flashy and more behaved…

At first glance, the new look of the Golf GTi 2021 does not impact as much as the previous seventh generation model, it was expected that Volkswagen would employ a bolder and sportier style in the sports version, which did not happen. The New Golf GTi 2021 has a modern style, but not very sporty. Remembering that now the electric (GTE) and diesel (GTD) variants will now have exactly the same look as the GTi version. Compared to the normal version of the new Golf, the changes are basically the front bumper, which is more advanced and has a larger air opening, with a honeycomb grille, which in the GTI version covers practically the entire bumper. , in addition, the car has exclusive LED fog lights, with 4 light points, one on each side, forming an “X” hidden between the grille spaces, that is, when they are not on, the lights are practically camouflaged inside the bumper (they will be optional), in addition, the blade at the height of the Volkswagen logo, received a new red frieze that invades the headlights, this blade will light up for the first time, matching the LED daytime running lights of the headlights.

On the sides, the mirrors gained a more aerodynamic design with the bottom in black, in addition the Golf GTi 2021 will come standard with 17-inch wheels with a diamond finish, and may optionally come with larger 18-inch wheels, or even 19-inch wheels. The brake calipers are painted red, the car still has side skirts in black.

Moving to the rear of the new Golf GTi 2021, the model will come standard with fully LED taillights, in addition to a new spoiler, larger than the one present in the normal versions of the Golf, on the trunk lid, the name of the car has been removed , leaving only the acronym GTI, which is now stamped just below the Volkswagen logo.

The rear bumper has a more sporty look, but nothing too exaggerated, just a small black diffuser and two exhaust pipes with chrome tips. In my opinion Volks could have radicalized a little more in this version.

Interior is simple and follows the traditional style of the Golf GTI

Inside, the new generation of the Golf GTI, mixes characteristics of the 44 years of history of the sports version, at first glance, the traditional checkered fabric seat covers immediately catch your eye, a detail present since the first generations of the GTI, the seats are sporty and covered in an exclusive fabric for the version, now the headrests will be integrated, and there are still details in red on the sides of the seats.

The cabin of the new GTI itself has a relatively simple finish, and even needs a little more sophistication, since we are talking about the most expensive version of the Golf.
